The case takes on extra importance to Tholey since she knew the woman: wife of her brother’s best friend. A media circus ensues.


Detectives are eventually able to identify the killer – the adopted son of a popular U.S. Senator - but can’t gather sufficient evidence to arrest him.


In the meantime, healthy people continue to die of apparent natural causes….
